|
Scottish Hill Runners is an independent organisation providing services for hill runners in Scotland. We are not a sports governing body. Membership benefits include a regular newsletter, an annual journal and a Race Calendar which includes all hill races in Scotland.
We aim to provide accurate up-to-date information on all aspects of hill racing, training, long distance challenges, and non-competitive hill running in Scotland.
What is hill running? Well you can read a little about it and its history here (though this is written from an English perspective, hence the title "fell running"!)

| Our Income |
|
|
Our income comes principally from membership subscriptions, sale of advertising space in the race calendar, calendar sales to non-members and website sponsorship. All proceeds are fed back into the sport via for example trophies, prizes, support for race organizers and the staging of social events.
Expenses are restricted as far as possible to "consumables" such as printing, publishing, posting and the costs of maintaining the website. Accounts are published each year.

| SHR Website |
|
|
The SHR website provides an information service on what’s happening on the hill running and racing scene both in Scotland and further afield. Our aim is not to compete with the various club websites, rather to complement them with information of wide interest to all clubs and individual runners.
We would be very pleased to publish your contributions. These should be sent to scottishhillrunners@yahoo.co.uk. Alternatively please visit the forum if you would like to post a comment.
We also welcome photos submitted to
scottishhillrunners@yahoo.co.uk. These must be confirmed to be the property of the sender, or to have appropriate copyright permission for re-use. Pictures on this website are copyright Scottish Hill Runners and must be acknowledged as such if used elsewhere. The photograph collection will be as up-to-date and wide-ranging as your submissions to us allow.
Scottish Hill Runners also have a collection of photos hosted on the Flickr photo sharing website.
