Paul Raistrick (Highland HR) easily won the Fyrish Hill Race from Alec Keith (Inverness H), who had the consolation of being the first M40. Ross Bannerman (Highland HR) was third; his consolation was that Roxy won the women's race. The second woman to finish, Aileen Kirkwood (Garioch), was also the first F40.

As the course was revised about three years ago, and the conditions are now agreed as "different", the two firsts both count as new records.

The junior hill race (5.9km) now goes to a similar monument on the same hill as Fyrish, but half way up. Patrick Urquhart (Inverness H) was the first boy, in 36.49, and Chole McGroarty (Ross County) the first girl in 49.31. These times are also new records.
